Panel Repair to Full-Body Renewal

Complete Premium Painting

Condition-led denting, tinkering, surface preparation and automotive painting for individual panels or a complete exterior renewal.

Service Overview

Care tailored to your vehicle.

Painting is the correct route when cleaning, polishing or paint correction cannot safely resolve the underlying condition. Deep scratches, chips, dents, exposed substrate, failed clear coat, mismatched earlier repairs and extensive oxidation may require a panel to be repaired and refinished instead of repeatedly polished.

CARJAX begins with a physical assessment of the affected areas. The team separates removable contamination and correctable surface marks from defects that need denting, tinkering, levelling, priming or new paint. Owners can discuss one damaged panel, several connected panels or a complete full-body painting requirement without committing to unrelated work.

The final scope depends on panel material, previous repairs, corrosion, dent depth, edge damage, colour condition and the consistency expected across adjacent panels. The inspection-led quotation explains the recommended preparation and realistic finish before work begins.

How the Service Works

A clear sequence from inspection to handover.

We inspect the vehicle first, then match each treatment to its materials, condition and your chosen package.

1

Inspect and diagnose

CARJAX reviews paint failure, scratch depth, denting, corrosion, earlier repair and adjoining panels to decide whether correction or painting is appropriate.

2

Approve the repair plan

The owner receives a clear panel-by-panel or full-body scope covering preparation, expected finish, limitations and quotation before work starts.

3

Prepare and refinish

Approved denting, tinkering, levelling and paint-system work is completed in the required sequence with care around edges, trims and nearby surfaces.

4

Refine and hand over

After suitable curing, the finish is inspected and refined. CARJAX then explains early aftercare and any later protection recommendation.

Realistic Benefits

What the service is designed to improve

  • Repairs damage that detailing or polishing cannot safely remove.
  • Restores a more consistent colour, gloss and exterior presentation.
  • Allows one-panel, multi-panel or full-body planning based on actual need.
  • Creates a properly prepared finish before suitable coating or PPF consultation.
  • Provides inspection-led expectations instead of promising impossible defect removal.
Condition Matters

Before your appointment

  • An exact colour and blend plan can only be confirmed after inspecting the existing paint and previous repairs.
  • Corrosion, structural damage, broken components or extensive metal work may require additional specialist repair.
  • Fresh paint needs suitable curing time; immediate polishing, coating, PPF or aggressive washing may not be appropriate.
  • Timelines vary with repair depth, panel count, preparation, weather and curing requirements.
  • Warranty, quotation and protection compatibility are confirmed for the approved job before work begins.
Aftercare

Maintain the finish with the right routine.

Follow the handover guidance for the specific paint system and repair. During the early curing period, avoid harsh chemicals, dry wiping, abrasive cloths and unnecessary pressure washing. Remove bird droppings, tree residue or fuel spills carefully and promptly without rubbing the fresh surface.

Use a gentle automotive wash routine once CARJAX confirms that normal washing can resume. Clean tools, suitable shampoo and careful drying reduce the fine marks that quickly make a repaired panel look different from the surrounding finish.

Coating or JUPITR PPF can be discussed after the refinished surface has cured and passed inspection. Protection is a later layer; it should not be used to hide incomplete preparation or active paint defects.

Frequently asked questions

Find answers about package inclusions, vehicle condition and ongoing care.

Can every scratch be polished instead of painted?

No. Surface marks may improve through correction, but scratches through the clear coat or colour layer, exposed substrate and paint failure generally require a repair or painting assessment.

Can CARJAX paint only one panel?

Yes, when inspection confirms that a focused panel repair is appropriate. The adjoining colour and finish are also reviewed because blending or connected-panel work may sometimes be required for a consistent result.

Is denting included automatically?

Denting and tinkering are included in the approved repair scope only where needed. The required work depends on dent location, depth, access, panel material and structural condition.

Can coating or PPF be applied immediately after painting?

Not automatically. Fresh paint must cure according to the repair and paint system. CARJAX will inspect the finish and advise when polishing, coating or PPF preparation is appropriate.

How long will complete painting take?

Timing depends on the number of panels, repair depth, preparation, parts, colour work and curing. A realistic schedule is provided only after physical inspection and scope approval.
