The paint is assessed before any correction work because scratch depth, oxidation, earlier repair, clear-coat condition and panel history affect what can be improved safely. Some defects need painting rather than polishing, and protection should only be selected after the underlying surface has been prepared correctly.
The final finishing steps focus on gloss, colour depth and consistent presentation. This is a detailing package; it is not described as scratch-proof protection and it does not replace PPF, coating, denting or body-shop repair where those services are required.
